Services for cyclists

Jämi features a bike shelter equipped with frame locks and CCTV surveillance, as well as a rest shelter for cyclists. In the future, the shelters will be equipped with electrical outlets and a charging cabinet for charging electric bike batteries and other small electronic devices.

Next to the shelters is a bike maintenance station equipped with tools for basic bike maintenance and minor repairs. The area also features a water fountain providing drinking water.

Behind Jämi Arena is a bike wash station with wooden washing platforms and racks where you can lift your bike to hang it by the saddle. Only water and a brush may be used to wash bikes. Jämi is located in a groundwater area, so the use of any detergents is prohibited. The bike wash station is not in use during the winter.

The infrastructure was acquired as part of the “Jämin keskusalue kuntoon” project managed by the municipality of Jämijärvi, which received funding from the EU’s Rural Development Fund through Leader Pohjois-Satakunta.
