Jämijärvi church is a neo-gothic church built in 1859-1860. The church was designed by the architect Georg Theodor von Chiewitz. The shape of the church is a towered, isosceles cross church.
Next to the church is the Old parsonage, which was completed in 1856 as a residence for the priest’s family. It is one of Finland’s valuable old rectory buildings.
In the soldier’s cemetery, there is a “Looking to the Future” monument made by President Kyösti Kallio’s son, Kalervo Kallio. The work is also known as “Faith in the Future”. The monument is one of the most touching and beautiful soldier statues in Finland.
