The history of everyday life for hundreds of years
The Jämijärvi local history museum is located on the hill of the church in two old granaries. The neo-classical granary was built in 1856. In the museum you can see furniture, household goods and e.g. moving school exhibits. The collections include e.g. tools for making wooden sewer pipes. Jämijärvi municipality owns the local museum and Jämijärvi-Seura assoc. is responsible for the museum’s operations.
