The championship classes in the 2nd weekend on February are the eight-dog class (17,5 km) and the four-dog class (9.6 km). Juniors aged 10-13 compete with 1-3 dogs, and the length of the route is 5 km. The children’s class (approx. 100 m) will only be competed on Saturday.
The competition routes are the Kunto 5 km and Kunto 10 km tracks and the club’s own route. The above-mentioned tracks are closed to skiing in order to avoid collisions. The finish, departure and dog pit area are located next to Lomahotelli Jämi at the airfield. The public can also watch the competition from the corner of the hotel or from the hotel terrace free of charge. For those who cannot make it to the venue, there is an opportunity to watch the club’s own LIVE broadcast on the website, on Facebook or on YouTube.
The competition starts at 10 am. Starting lists and results are on the club’s website.
You are warmly welcome to watch the fast pace races and lots of wagging tails!
Changes are possible depending on the snow situation.
