Safety and emergency plans

The organiser of the event is responsible for maintaining order and ensuring the safety of the public during the event. A notification must be made to the police of the public event, with the event’s security plan enclosed. An emergency plan for the event must also be submitted to the Rescue Department if certain criteria for the event are met. The authorities provide further information and help with security plans.

First aid

The organiser of a public event is responsible for ensuring that adequate first aid is available at the event. The required number of first aid personnel cannot be determined unequivocally, as the first aid capacity must be proportionate to the number of people at the event, the risks and the size of the area. Further information on first aid preparedness, the first aid plan, first aid materials and the personnel’s training level is available from the Rescue Department of Satakunta.

Wildfires

In Hämeenkangas, a fire may only be lit at designated campfire sites. The responsibility lies always with the person who lights the fire. When a wildfire warning is in effect, it is prohibited to light a fire in the fireplaces of lean-to shelters and huts. The prohibition does not apply to the Koivistonvati cooking shelter nor the covered fireplace with a chimney at Niinikota hut. Emergency water barrels are placed at campfire sites.

Safety related to aviation

For safety reasons, it is very important to follow the agreed operating times and instructions when using the airfield areas. The areas may only be used and additional structures and goods may only be present in the areas during the agreed period. At other times, the airfield areas are used for aviation purposes. The event organiser must clear all structures, goods and waste from the airfield areas as soon as possible after the event has ended, after which the areas will be opened for aviation activities.

Moving around the airfield is only permitted on the marked routes.
